Granite is one of the top stones to use in home remodels for its looks and durability. Granite is denser and less porous than other materials used which makes it a better choice for kitchens and bathrooms. Granite has approximately 15,000 different variations of colors and patterns which makes each slab unique. It is recommended to re-seal the stones every 6 months-12 months to give the stone a fresh look and for protection. Cleaning materials or foods that are high in acid can dull the stone which would require more frequent re-sealant.
